This month, on 27 August, we're thrilled to celebrate Bo’s 100th birthday in dog years! 

But last May, we weren't so sure he would make it. 

You probably know Bo from his "Wine of the Month" picks. Our beloved office dog, a mix of Border Collie and German Short-haired Pointer, belongs to Brad’s family and spends most weekdays at Zonte’s HQ, greeting everyone who drops by. 

The regular drivers from Australia Post and DHL know him well, and he has a special fondness for Dione from DHL, who often sneaks him a treat!

Unfortunately, one day, a new delivery driver accidentally hit Bo with his vehicle when Bo ran out to greet him in the HQ driveway. Bo was badly injured and rushed to the vet. It was a scary time—we all thought he might not make it, especially concerned was Brad and his family.

The vet discovered Bo had a broken pelvis in two places and was concerned about possible spleen damage. Bo spent four tense days in vet intensive care, where things were touch and go. Amazingly, Bo pulled through. What a trooper - a Super Trooper! 

After another three days in the vet’s care, Bo came home. His family had to help him up with a towel looped under his tummy to relieve himself. For the next two months, Bo recuperated at home, and we all missed him dearly at the office.

Finally, in the third month, Bo came to see us in the office. He was walking on his own, albeit gingerly, but wagging his tail and happily greeting everyone. He had lost a lot of weight and didn’t stay long, but we were all overjoyed to see him back on his feet.

Now, a year later, Bo is back to hanging out in the office regularly, and we couldn’t be happier to celebrate his milestone birthday with him.
