With its boisterous berry flavours and hallmark tannin structure, this wine hailed us down like a vocal New Yorker at rush hour. We fastidiously selected each barrel for this wine whereby it affectionately became known as the '1st off the rank'.
With the lovely palate length and balance that make Cabernet Sauvignon 'king', it is full bodied yet is no West Coast wanna-be. Made from fastidiously selected barrels, we are quietly confident that it will be the first wine you'll want to jump into at any line up.
Rich plum and blackcurrant flavours swerve into savoury liquorice and cedar notes, followed by a friendly toot of thyme.

WineOrbit.co.nz - Sam Kim - May 2022
"This is splendidly appealing on the nose showing cassis, green olive, spicy oak and rich floral aromas, followed by a plump mouthfeel offering excellent fruit power and density. Superbly structured by loads of fine tannins, making it firmly structured and sturdy. "

“Vegan-friendly and floral on the nose with cassis, olive, toasty oak spice full and rich on the palate. Tannins are fine-grained and firm. Enjoy it now through 2035 with ribs from the grill or a rich roast beef dinner.”

The Real Review - Gabrielle Poy - 21 May 2022
"Richly spiced black and blueberries lead into a ripe and plush palate. The tannins are fine and tarry, providing structure and savouriness to counter the fruit. This prizes its fruit and is a charming cabernet with balance and approachability."
