'Vin Mousseux' is an umbrella term for all bubbly wines, no matter their production flair. Our Chocolate Mousseux is a quintessential Australian example and one of life's little pleasures. A perennial favourite with all the hallmarks of a bold Shiraz in a moreish, refreshing style. Perfect for warmer weather when full-bodied reds prove a bit of a struggle to enjoy. A great festive match with turkey or ham.
This wine is a flavour burst of juicy Black Cherry, ripe Raspberries, and a cheeky dance of Chocolate dare we say...mousse!

* Gold Medal – Women's Wine & Spirits Awards 2025
* 93 points – WinePilot.com, Ken Gargett, May 2024 – “The name for this cracking sparkling Shiraz seems so obvious that it is amazing no one has used it before. The wine spent a year maturing in a mix of French and American oak. The label has a wonderful quote from Rodney Dangerfield (if you are too young, google the man), but no spoilers here. Buy a bottle. The wine, wonderfully exuberant, is full of chocolate and mocha notes, spices, herbs and even a hint of undergrowth. There is some sweetness here, but it is so well balanced that it is hardly evident. A juicy style with excellent length, this is a joy to drink. Love it. Now for as long as you want, but good luck keeping your hands off it for long.”
* Silver Medal Beverage Testing Institute Wine Awards 2024 (USA) – “Ruby black color. Aromas and flavors of black cherry, blackberry and plum, cocoa powder, and smoked meat with a medium-to-full body and a medium-to-long finish that shows overtones of black plum, baking spices, and roasted coffee. Try this for dry, but still juicy, dark fruit flavors and light-hearted bubbles with a touch of brooding Syrah character.”
